BatmanNovels.com is here to for one reason. A lifelong Batman fan, a few years ago, I found myself enjoying the recent run of Batman novels released (Dead White, Inferno, Batman Begins novelization), so I started tracking down as many of them as I could. In attempting to do this, I noticed there wasn't a central place to easily find the novels out there, so I created this site.

I've recently expanded it to include not only all novels involving Batman and members of the Bat-family, but also novels of other DC characters. This was done simply for two reasons: the first because a lot of the super hero novels I was reading maybe had Batman in there briefly, but not enough to merit a listing based on the original criteria that Batman or a Bat-family member have some sort of precense in the book (the Justice League of America series is a good example of this); the second reason was well, I have the site, I might as well expand it :)

So here are the categories of how I group the novels:

1. Batman Novels - These are original Batman stories. There might be some supporting bat characters in here, but for the most part it's all Batman
2. Novelizations - These are novelizations of Batman TV shows, movies, comics and games
3. Batman/DC Universe Novels - These are original stories or novelizations that feature DC Universe characters including Batman and/or the Bat-family. To make the list, Batman or a member of the Bat-family has to have some sort of precense in the book
4. Other DC Universe Novels - These original stories or novelizations might contain a small or token appearance by Batman or someone in the Bat-family or the they might not.

At this time, I'm not planning on listing any Junior Novels.

If it's a Batman novel, could be because I'm not aware of it or I just haven't gotten around to posting it. Please send me the title and author and I'll check it out/
If it's some non-Batman related novel, say the Superman III novelization, you can send it to me if you want, but don't count on much. Let me stress, I'm a Batman fan. I read other stuff besides super hero novels and outside of movies and video games, my interest in non-Batman related super hero stuff is pretty low.

At this time, I wouldn't hold my breath.
